Had our Patrol 30k service done this morning. What a pleasant surprise, very polite young lady met me at the door, easy book in process. Told her I’d be waiting for service to be done. She arranged for my car to be done straightaway and advised me of a great coffee shop to go to while I waited. Process started at 7:45am got a call at 9:30am car was ready. We have a Holden which has been serviced by Gatton Auto since 2021. So far so good and no complaints. But recently while I was away, our Holden developed a fault. My wife took it to Gatton Auto. They did a "diagnostic" and quoted over $2000 plus parts to fix it by replacing all 8 injectors. I called BS on their diagnosis. When I got home and diagnosed it myself to discover the same fault code. I tried a few common fixes with no result even though the symptom had gone but the fault code remained. I disconnected the battery overnight and the fault code was gone the next morning. With a cost of zero $. The youngsters there just trusted their computers rather than the neck top computer that the old school of us still have. Be warned. With all the technology, nothing beats experience.
