a minute ago WORST mechanic I ever experienced. I had to scrap my Landrover discovery sport after he changed the timing chain. My vechile was running in good condition before I gave to him otherwise from timing chain loose sound. But after repair all system failed and he grabbed £3000 from me when many others charge £1800 for the job..if you love the vehicle never take to this guy.this guy speaks to you in lengths as he knows everything but in reality he is learning to repair...never take to him.

I had a highly frustrating experience with Irish Hill Motors, though I want to apologize if this review seems harsh, as their actions may not have been intentional but rather due to their lack of expertise. They initially quoted me £120 for the parts to replace my car's clutch, which led me to pay £100 to transport my car to their garage. After that they claimed the £120 parts wouldn’t work due to "odd measurements" and said they needed to source a new clutch from the dealership, quoting an outrageous £700 for the parts. I was defiantly not happy with the price and took my car to another garage in Ards, where they confirmed there was nothing unusual about my car’s measurements and replaced the clutch for a total cost of £540, including parts, far below the £700 quoted by Irish Hill Motors for only the parts. The incompetence of Irish Hill Motors cost me time and money, and while I don’t believe they acted maliciously, I cannot recommend their services to others.
Used Irish Hill Motors for a few bits and have to say, probably up there with the most honest mechanics about. Alan took time to talk me thru fault causes for the various parts I had replaced and the impact of each part regarding the car's normal use. It is a wee bit out of the way, so unless you're local, you will need to have transport sorted - no impact on level of service, though, and would recommend to anyone needing work done.
I got my oil changed for a great price. The person I talked to was straight to the point and seemed genuine with his work. Will come back for my MOT this year.
